5 months of practice on the blow bend, slowly getting up the scale starting on G harmonica and I can do all +8’ and +9’ clean, and start to do both +10’ and +10" on most harmonicas up to my D harmonica but they are still not in tune and I often lose them.
@Dk360 I was looking at at You tube video from a French harmonica teacher about “how to get your fist overblow?”. He was recommending to work on trying the +6 hole overblow on a A harmonica. He recommends to be able to do a clean +8’ first. He explains that it is the exact same mouth/tongue gesture for both. But for the overblow he says you should try to the blow bend on the 6 hole, it will start to bend but you shouldn’t be able to bend it down a half step completely (as there’s no blow bend on the 6), and then you contract your core while articulating a “ka”. I tried it and couldn’t get it and decided that I should finish polishing my blow bends and other technique first, not to mention this comment from @Luke Harmonica Overdraws & Overblows
