First casualty! Hohner Special 20

Hi @Cameronjake

Welcome to the forum!

How much experience do you have playing a lower tuned harp? My guess is that you are using too much force. As explained in another post on this forum (read my posts in this thread) the low end reeds on lower tuned harps can easily hit the cover plates when too much air flow is used – a typical beginner problem as well as a problem for those who primarily played higher tuned harps and now begin playing a lower tuned harp, e.g. a G or low F, etc.

Since lower tuned harps tend to get “lost in the mix” when playing with a band, your only solution is to use an amplifier and to play that G harp with less force.
