Just to let you know, “this guy” (Filip Jers) happens to be one the best current jazz/classical/whatever harp players around (diatonic & chromatic). Check out his YouTube site (which, I suppose, you already have done):
Anyone can learn a huge amount from his videos. He also has a patreon site that includes lots of teaching material.

Btw.myvwife owns an accordian…i bought it 15 yrs ago…been in the garage in a case ever since.

Before getting the accordion, did your wife own any other instrument?
No…none whatsoever…but as a child she had access to one…and kept saying how wonderful it would be to get another…and learn it properly.
That prompted me to buy one for her birthday…but she was too busy…worked as a Teacher of English to foreign students…
