How to play When The Levee Breaks by Led Zeppelin

To whomever can help,

I just started learning the harmonica around 5 or so months ago. I have greatly appreciated the videos sent out from JP Allen. I especially liked one of his most recent one concerning how to learn songs from the internet relatively easily. So this got me thinking about songs I like that I would love to learn on harp. One of them is When The Levee Breaks by Led Zeppelin. If you have any clue or tips or anything on how to play this great rock/blues tune, I would sincerely appreciate it.

Fellow advocate of the harmonica,

PS - Just in case you have never heard the song before, here is the link. Its really a great song.

Howdy Wyatt!

Since the person who posted the vid is obviously a big fan of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant et al, I would probably contact him through his fine YouTube channel, and see if you can get the sheet music he has:

Then with that in hand, I would sit and listen to the recording over and over perhaps a million zillion times or more, however many long it takes you to get it down.

Just a thought…Hope this helps!

Oh, and welcome to the forum!

Have fun!

Smiles!

Keep on Harpin’!
