Key of C for beginners

I have read on several sites that the key of C is recommended for beginner harmonica players.

Please advise why.

95% of all beginner lessons are for the key of “C”

“C” is the harp that is in the middle of the scale (middle “C”) which gives the beginner a vague idea of the lower and higher notes on the lower and higher harps.

So only the harps with the prefix of “high” are above C right? For instance an Ab harp would refer that the Ab from the 4’th hole would be the Ab from the bass cleff right? A low Ab would one octave lower and a low low Ab would be 2 octaves lower, correct?
