Little known players you love

If you can get Quincy Jones album with the Sanford and Son theme song. listen to Love Theme Getaway Forever and Eyes of Love. These are two songs are the best, especially if you like slow, well played music. You can also hear both on U Tube. I am not much of a Jazz fan either but Toots could play anything he wanted and play it well.

I’ve heard most of them, and they are good if they are your bag, I always appreciate any instrument played well even Pink Floyd whose music I can’t stand. My own musical tastes are wide and varied but the music I love to play is the Blues ( although I have dabbled with Jazz, Soul, funk, ska, reggae, country, and Bluegrass) still intend to go further with Cajun and Zydeco, I’ve even had a crack at Gospel on the odd occasion when the mood takes me. I’m thinking of getting some Wilde tuned Seydels and playing some rock too.

I like all kinds of music except rap and hip bop. Country, gospel, just to name a few. I might like one song an artist plays and record it. Gotta say the same about P F but I think he had one good one, Dark Side Of The Moon.

Can’t stand rap or hip hop

I really love playing both country (mainly 80s to mid 00s country) and gospel as well as blues, when I’m not being forced by harmonica elitists to play their way. I have respect for the blues, but the embouchure police is very strong within that community, especially with the chromatic. I swear if I had a dollar for every time that somebody commented ā€œyou should only play tongue blockedā€ on one of my chromatic posts, I’d be very rich. I swear it’s like the culture for chromatic to enforce ā€œtongue blocking good, lip pursing badā€ onto others who don’t conform to their beliefs. As much as I like rock and metal music, they’re actually my least favorite genres to play harmonica in because nearly everybody decided to copy Bob Dylan’s playing.
