Looking for a Tab

Hi everyone, looking for a specific tab ;D The name of the song is “My Redeemer Lives” or Maybe Redeemer Lives, here’s a youtube of it.

My 12 year old son who happens to be hearing impaired is going to be signing the song ( sign language) for a
Christmas play he’s getting ready for next month 8)

Don’t go crazy looking because I’ve been all over the net looking for it.

But is there a web sight that you can ask someone to tab it for you ???

Thanks ;D

Harp on!!

If you go harmonicaclub.com there is a man by the handle of KNUD that tabbed a song for a guy (I believe it was Danny’s Song).
KNUD is a VERY GOOD player and seems real nice. I don’t know him just read his logs and listened to his music.
Maybe he would be willing to help.

Hey Joe, I sure hope we get to see the video of this. I can’t wait!
Please video it and show it here.

Ya they won’t let personal video cameras in it’s kind of a big deal,
they have a professional do it and then sell the DVD’s.

Harp on!!

Well JF:

I was tempted to just go ahead and re-post my response to this thread here:

Knowing too how you can post on various forums even harptabs.com about what you’re looking for – Unless somebody has the song themselves out of the zillions of songs ever written and/or is interested in tabbing it out for you, well chances are you’ll sit and wait, sit and wait, and…you get the idea!

{Which because of the time consumption process is probably one of the main reasons why I don’t get involved in working on tabs and what not. And still, I don’t necessarily like to see “dead ‘0’ posts” on forums either. But it is what it is.

Nevertheless and this being said…}

So you may want to try this approach. Instead of hoping somebody has it somewhere, why not go to the proverbial horse’s mouth themselves?

I don’t belong to myspace or facebook or anything; nor any particular Christian forums/websites. However, I did manage to find at least three leads for you to begin possibly getting some answers somewhere:

Good luck!

Keep on jammin’!

Peace & SPD Out!

Hi! I tried to play some of the melody on my C harmonica and I played the first part like this:
8 -8 7 -7 6 -6 7 -7 6 -7 -6

Maybe it may be to some help…

Yes i got it from a guy by the name of Knud and Henry from the harmonica club forum.

They went way out of their way to help me.

They tabbed it out for me which was not an easy task.

Did You see It SPD

Harp On!!

Sorry, dude!

I even ‘clicked’ into your post to see if whatever the attachment was supposed to be is somehow/somewhere hidden inside it.

Haven’t found anything yet…

Anybody else see it?

Or am I still missing something?! ::slight_smile:

Below Harp on!!

Theres a long black skinny line right below that theres a paper clip click on the attachment right next to it.

HarP on!!

To be honest - Nope! Still don’t see it! ::slight_smile:

Even went into it again…And still nothing. :stuck_out_tongue:

However, I did click on my own ‘report to moderator’ message and got this:

An Error Has Occurred!

You can’t report your own post to the moderator, that doesn’t make sense!

So that was fun!

SPD! It is there, I saw it ;D

The tabs are made by Henry and Knud (members of Harmonicaclub, com).
The song is normally in G. The tabs gives G on a G-harp. In some versions Nicole
sings the last repetition of D (and the last line) in A, so if you want that
you can use an A-harp for the last piece (or a harp +2 semitones above).
When Nicole sings it she uses all the time ”grace”-notes (a note that is not
essential to the melody, but done quickly before or after the melody-note, and
adds some ”color” to it). You can use that also as a harp-player – try a little,
short bending on some of the notes or if you by example end a phrase/line on +6
like in the 3. line (”far”) then play -7-6+6 like -7-6+6-6+6.
The text from the song is placed so the words/syllables stand exactly beneath
the tab/note (left-justified) that is to be used. So text and tabs are
synchronized. That’s why there is some ”” and ”-” in the text and some spaces
between the tabs.

Keep On Harpin’!

Hi BB 6 months later better late than never I always say

Here’s my son’s performance:

I cut out just the last 7 minutes the “finale” when he did his signing of the song.

I’ve been working on the song with my harmonica, still a work in progress :-\

Thanks to Knudd and Henry form harmonicaclub.com 2 talented guys who worked out the tabs to
help me ;D

For me it was hard to get the timing right with the backing track :o But here is my best effort so far

It also changes key from “G” to “A” toward the end. That was a challenge :stuck_out_tongue:

Harp On!!

Beautiful! Bravo! Good job! You handled the key change just fine. thank you for sharing. ;D
