Hey guys - I’m in Tulsa, Oklahoma and just about to go downstairs and register for SPAH which is happening all week through Saturday night. If you live anywhere in the country that’s a short flight or a long drive to make it here, it’s not too late to register. Guaranteed to change your life as a harmonica player. Hope to see you there!
Oh man I’m jealous hope you have a great time maybe when I retire in 5 years, I can make it to one. One word of caution try not to spend to much money on new gear LOL.
Hi Luke
Please Forgive my ignorance I love in the UK, what’s SPAH?
Regards Astrid
Last year I thought SPAH oh year thats for really professional intensely into it harmonica players but it sounds so fun. I’m excited for you all from far away. Hope you have a ball. Please send lots of updates, pictures and stories. We’ll be there with you.
@toogdog Yeah there’s lots of rank beginner here, along with people like Charlie Musslewhite, Buddy Greene, and amazing players from around the globe. I just saw a guy named Mariano Massalo from Argentina playing gypsy jazz. It was mind blowing! It’s a very positive, happy vibe. Harmonica players are happy people!
@Moman All right - look forward to seeing you 5 years! And, good lookin’ out! So far I haven’t made any impulse buys.
That’s good Luke I hope you have a great time!
I met Buddy Greene last April. What a class act. he can play anything he wants to and is I/M/O one of the very best alive. he is a classy guy that has not let his success change him in any way, which I admire. I got a short lesson from him and hope we cross paths again. His playing at Carnegie Hall and lighting the place up is something to see on U Tube. There will never be enough people around like him.
Made it to SPAH ….it was sooo much fun and inspirational…
I have never been in one place where so many people were just down home and happy…
