First get over this flu, it’s really affected my chest and therefore my breathing. Secondly as soon as I’m well I’m off to a studio to go through the amps there and really put my Silverfish through its paces. I’ve also bought a couple of transmitter and receivers so I can go cable free. I really want to brush up on Cajun and Zydeco playing as this would be another string to my bow. I watched Joe Filisko do Cajun on YouTube the other day and it really lifted my mood as my constant coughing and trying to clear my throat is really getting me down. Finally I need to really crack on with my Chromatic playing as I was going great guns on this before I got ill. It’s all very frustrating atm

Just to continue having fun playing songs and learning new ones. Maybe learn some folk songs so I can get more out of the Tremolo and Octave harmonicas.

Practice More-!

Good question. I’m a beginner so I’m trying not to take on too much. I can isolate single notes. My bends are improving. I just started improvising with a backing track using the c major scale and second position scale. I think I would benefit by learning the 12 bar blues scale / structure. So I think I’ll start paying more attention to that now

I definitely echo the “practice more” goal as I feel that while I am dedicated to the harp and practice when I am able, I certainly plan to step things up a notch this year. Looking forward to watching everyone else grow in their playing as well.

I hope to get to play more country music, like many years before this one, and play at an open mic.
