Good job @Dk360, some nice improv. Way to chill out. I hear a hint of Blood sweat and tears in there.
Every just play what you feel? No blues…no structure…just feel. Thats what this is.
Nice work, @KeroroRinChou !! You have really progressed and improved in the last year or so !! I imagine that Todd must be proud. ![]()
This little video was 10 months into my harmonica lessons. Buddy talked me into open jam. Was nervous but I think it went pretty ok.
Now that was some fine playing for only having 10 months of harp instruction !! ![]()
You’re on the right track, so keep up the good work
Thank u for ur kind words! Sooo much more to learn!!!
You’re doing great. You didn’t sound nervous. You should be really proud
Thank you! Comming from you is a giant feather in my cap!!!
That would have taken some courage @lasersolutionswi. Sounded great, I’m sure you were nervous, but it didn’t show. Keep at it.
I forgot to say this, but thanks Carlos. I mentioned a while ago that I was dealing with a lot of stress and personal issues last year. Mainly in regards to my mental health. I developed an addiction to Facebook due to my feed having barely any harmonica content and too much negativity/toxicity. Even when I try to get rid of those posts, they STILL show up on my feed just to provoke me.
I still use Facebook occasionally, but I don’t really post as much to the groups anymore. I know how controversial I am to harmonica purists and those who still believe in the narrative that I’m an evil, manipulative person when I’m not in reality. I’ve had the long realization that every thing I do or say is gonna make someone out there really offended, and that’s okay. I know that I’m not gonna be everybody’s cup of tea, so I pretty much stopped caring for the mean comments I get and became a lot less tense when playing.
You are really improved and more focused, @KeroroRinChou . And the improvements in your playing reflect your reduction in stress and the positive effects of becoming more relaxed! ![]()
Congratulations on breaking free from the morons who prey upon others. They are aware – consciously or subconsciously – of their own pathetic situation and think that bad-mouthing others improves their own deplorable image.
Keep on harpin’ and making others happy with your music.

@KeroroRinChou I just want to echo everything @Carlos1 is saying to you affirming both your growth as a harmonica player and as a person to stop caring about what the haters are saying. Keep up the great work girl!! So proud of you and happy to have you part of the forum here!!! Rock on! ![]()
Love that song and your rendition ![]()
Thank You @HarpinBobbyMcB Yes, it’s a lovely song. Hopefully I’ve improved a little since posting it. Glad to see you back on the forum, I was worried about you. Do you still live in Venezuela? Please stay away from speed boats, I’d hate for you to be blown up.
It’s been a while since I’ve been here. I enjoyed going through the thread to hear what people are doing with their harp!
@Slim it was cool
to see a post here from you, your comments are always on point.
@AdamWest loved your video, only one complaint… your partner sang too much, I wanted more harp! I enjoyed your solos at 10 minutes and then again about 15 minutes. I liked your change up with the mini harp and the Big Boy in your pocket. That’s certainly an eye catcher and can lead to all kinds of great lines as well as nice deep bass sound. Must take a lot of breath to make her sound like that?
@KeroroRinChou I hadn’t heard a lot of your stuff and like your style… I saw a good bit of your Retrospective on your years playing harp. It made me think a lot of what I’ve learned! Also, I liked your freestyle version of the song on the video where you broke from the tabs and let it rip. As for what other people say about your playing, I like what @Luke once said: “If it sounds good to you, then that’s all that matters.” Not many people are willing to put themselves out there as you do. Kudos for that ![]()
@Dk360 Nice and clean sound, congrats!
@lasersolutionswi you gotta pair bro, good for you. I mostly “play with myself”, I need to get out there some day on a public type of forum like that. I wanna be like you when I grow up…
@Luke so glad you posted the tabs on Fly Me to the Moon. It’s one of my favorite songs to play, and I just now realized I had been playing it wrong in several parts. The -4’ wasn’t even in my mind and I instead replaced it with a 5, I think… Here is a rendition I just did today with your tabs ![]()
Fly Me to the Moon on my Ninja Bb harp
Let me know if it opens ![]()
Last but not least, thanks @PapaCurly for asking about me and my whereabouts. I have been pretty quiet since the extraction of Venezuelan “President” Maduro on January 3rd. I have many mixed emotions about the whole ordeal, and this isn’t the place to expound on them, but I am okay and will take your suggestion to stay out of Speed Boats wandering around the Caribbean!
Also, @PapaCurly, I agree with you. I’m not sure I really like the title of this thread, but it gets the point across. Perhaps for me a better name would be the “Showcase” thread. I think we tend to like to SHOWCASE our talents, but not necessarily to SHOW OFF ![]()
Glad to be back on track with all y’all
![]()
Bobby, I seen your videos, your way more advanced than me. You should 100% play at every open jam u see. hard lessons learned is what makes it the blues. ![]()
@HarpinBobbyMcB so glad you’re still cooking man. Yes, the track opened. You’re doing great bro! Keep it up!

Darn, I don’t think the links were working, sorry about that. I deleted them and will use YouTube in the future. Thanks for trying though, I appreciate it
I like what you had to say - Just be yourself . Great job and great video
