Simple melody playing for beginners

I have no theory so it would be great if you could do that. Standard tab notation works best for me. (your stretched formant looks good too) I have an aging brain also. From your song list, I assume you are Australian, as are Toog and I.

I recently ordered two custom-tuned Seydel Big-6 (6-hole) harmonicas and three custom-tuned Kongsheng Baby Fat (7-hole) harmonicas. They are all very easy to play and sound great. The Seydel’s cost 74 Euros each. The Kongshengs cost $USD30 each.

The first Seydel Big-6 is in the key of C and has the same layout as holes 4-9 of a standard Richter tuned diatonic harmonica, but lowered one octave so it starts on C4. The tuning is as follows:

Blow: C4 E4 G4 C5 E5 G5
Draw: D4 F4 A4 B4 D5 F5

The second Seydel is in the key of G and has the same layout as the C harmonica but with F# instead of F in the two places.

Between them the two Seydel’s can play 90 of the songs that I have transposed.

The first Kongsheng Baby Fat is a standard solo-tuned harmonica starting on C4. The tuning is as follows:

Blow: C4 E4 G4 C5 C5 E5 G5
Draw: D4 F4 A4 B4 D5 F5 A5

The second Baby Fat is the same layout as that but with F# instead of F in the two places.

The third Baby Fat has the same layout as holes 3-9 of a Paddy Richter tuned diatonic harmonica, but lowered one octave so it starts on A3. The tuning is as follows:

Blow: A3 C4 E4 G4 C5 E5 G5
Draw: B3 D4 F4 A4 B4 D5 F5

Between them the 3 Baby Fats can play 113 of the songs I have transposed.

The Seydel’s sound great but obviously have a small note range. To hear how they sound see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kupqaqp7AWY

The Kongsheng’s are significantly cheaper but in my view sound just as good as the Seydel’s. I absolutely love playing them. They are very small and light and have nicely rounded mouthpieces, plus have a reasonable note range. To hear how they sound see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dBSSt4QAXc

If you are a beginner and want an easy to play solo-tuned C harmonica then I would highly recommend ordering the first custom-tuned Baby Fat I referred to above. It can play the following 65 of my transposed tunes:

If you just want standard tabs then go to https://www.harptabs.com/ It has many of the songs that I have transposed. If you want to convert the tabs to a different type of harmonica (eg. diatonic to chromatic) then go to DVIICE

Some great Songs I just now am getting El Pasa Condor ( no tabs ) fairly well, What key do you have it in? Also where did you get Can’t Help Falling In Love With You? I know most of it and play it in C. El Pasa Condor was a tough one to get timing and in memory down. Very few people know I play the harp and I am the last person my family and friends would think of playing music. Only when I am decent will they know, provided I live long enough.

My son and his wife live in Peru and it is extremely popular there. In another 3 to 6 months I will be able to play it fairly well. My harp will go to Peru when I do next time. Aint No Sunshine is another simple but nice tune.

I got all of the songs from the web. Just searched for free sheet music. Paid for very few of them. Many of them I had to transpose to my preferred keys of C or G. I encode them in the key the sheet music is in and I have a program that transposes them to another key.

El Condor Pasa is in the key of C with three G# accidentals.
