Symphonic blues cadenza

Here’s something I thought you all would like to hear. 60 years playing harmonica. .It’s the cadenza of Street Music - a blues concerto written in 1976 (the first work we started in 1966. LOL! Where were you in 66? LOL! This is in Germany in January of 2024. More later I have to run. Corky

You are the coolest! I loved it. All the different pictures it conjured up as it went along. Thanks so much

That’s some sharp playing you have there!

What key harmonica/key of music is this?

I wish I knew what to say to “high-end” performers, like “that’s some good stuff!” doesn’t seem to cut it, I guess I’ll stick to complimenting the “persistence factor” that you kept at it!

Thank you all. Ive been making many philosophical statements on this forum (always with Luke in mind by the way) and i felt i needed to show that they were actually coming from a credible space.

I’m not really a high-end player. That was just my high end stuff all at once. LOL! If you knew my approach you would laugh. But my focus is ultimately on the musicality and that takes me everywhere I want to go. I have workshops that show intermediate players how to get there just by shifting their understanding of what they’re doing. Its so simple It’s wild

@Corky_Music this made my day. Stupendous. I could provide a hundred more examples of why I take your philosophical musings so seriously, but I won’t… because my wife is waiting for me to bathe my kids right now (and they’re really dirty.) I guess my kids are good examples of your musical approach - just GO FOR IT! PLAY WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART!!

Love you Corky! You’re a true artist. Thank you so much for all of your gifts to our planet, both musical and philosophical! :oncoming_fist:t3:

Ah you’re too kind bro. I appreciate the kind words. YES indeed the harmonica is a SPECIAL TEACHER!! I’m so grateful to get to be part of this community. Keep up the great work. I saw your gig schedule on your most recent newsletter. Looks like you’re keeping busy. :clap:t3: Lucky Illinoisers.

If I were as busy as everyone says I wouldn’t be able to do all this stuff. LOL!
