Hi Christopher, I’m sorry mate, I’ve really tried hard to write bab boys heaven out in tab, but to be honest I have a really difficult time writing or reading tab as I play mostly by ear it’s what I’ve always done.Ive been getting frustrated with writing it out, so much so that my wife has said that I must message you and be straight with you. What you need is a player that can play it by ear and write the tab too. I’m just hopeless at it. I have tried I’ve even got the intro note for note but breaking it down into numbers has proved to be a nightmare I’m autistic you not great with numbers like some autistic people are. I’m really sorry to disappoint as I really thought and wanted to help you with this but the tab has defeated me.
Sorry I misspelled your name damn autocorrect
Papa Curly so sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my first wife and my six month old in a car accident. I know you never get over that pain.

Thank You @Andy2, I’m sorry to hear of your loss too. Thats such an awful thing to have happened. There are many wounded people on this forum. I hope that music can provide us with some happiness.
Peace, love and healing
Wow thanks @Andy2 great insight and guidance.
I have read that post on playing by ear and I think it’s time to read it again.
Thanks for the answer and suggestions.
Mike
Finding my wife later in life has brought me much solace. I honestly thought I’d never be happy again or find anyone ever. But sometimes miracles do happen.
Blessings

H A is great and always will be. The song I would pick would be Lady Fingers. Its on his Whipped Cream album.

I actually learned the song that I always wanted to play the most, “Ain’t Goin’ Down ('til the Sun Comes Up)” by Garth Brooks, and I’ve played it live multiple times. In case you didn’t know, this was the song that inspired me to pick up the harmonica and introduced me to the player who is still my biggest influence on the instrument, Terry McMillan. Compared to other country players, Terry had a sound that combined country harmonica with a bluesy flair, which gave his harp playing style more of an aggressive, but soulful approach to the instrument.
I started learning the song in 2019, which was very difficult to learn on my own because I didn’t have a teacher (I had to rely on Youtube with my technique, but the song didn’t help with the music that I wanted to play) and there were no tabs for it online for diatonic at the time, so I had to learn everything on my own as a beginner player, without a piano keyboard. Especially with the fast lick at the end. I always struggled with playing fast licks because I liked playing slow as a beginner, so doing anything fast has been a challenge for me. But now I’m getting better at playing fast with the help of my teacher, Todd Parrott.
I played the song for the first time in 2020, which made me popular the day until Covid hit. I played it again on my mom and stepdad’s wedding two years ago. The audience loves it every time I play it, especially since they know how much this song means to me as a harp player. It was the song that cracked my introverted shell with the harmonica.
I used to be ashamed about playing the harmonica as a teen because I assumed that people would tell me how much they loved Bob Dylan. But now, I’m proud to be one and I’ll tell anybody that I play if I get the chance. I’m actually more chill about the assumptions people make of my playing, like if I play Jazz or like Blues Traveler (which John Popper was popular when I was growing up).
I’ve got all of Garth Brooks albums love that song too haven’t heard it for a while
Terry also played on “Wrapped Up in You”. I’ve also learned it too.
I will listen on it up!
Thanks this will not only take all the hard work out but it will show me if I’ve got the bits I know right
