For speakers the key thing is the right impedance (ohms) and something in the ball park for watts it’ll handle.

I haven’t heard much about the difference; it would be cool to learn more about it or to play around with. Can’t be too expensive, right? I just had to swap out a tube from my Supro Super 64. At first, I thought it was the volume pot or the input plugs. I took that thing apart so many times, and then I saw a little piece floating around in the tube. The tube lost its vacuum. I was relieved I still have an orange crush RT 30 that’s in pieces.
