Thank you for the video . I posted a thread last week regarding tool kits . I came across this video . Very helpful
Too bad they don’t ship the tools to Europe.

Great news, I’ll check it out, thanks.
There is agreat tech that goes into great detail about this and other related topics. HARPSMITH is what you search on U Tube. He is very meticulous about gapping and tuning each reed depending on what type of music you play. He is about as good as you can get and has decades of experience. First name is Kinya and he does things right at a fair price. Every harp he has gone through for me played great. Also a pleasure to deal with. He is in the U.S. and shipping is easier than a tech from outside the U.S. He likes to help players as well. Just a great guy. Look at a few of his U Tube video’s and you will see how detailed oriented he is.
Thanks Scott, I’ve seen his videos. Yes he he’s very crafted and dedicated. Too early for custom harmonicas for me.

I started with a custom harp after a month of problems with bent reed plates, gap problems and a hard tar like substance holding the 6 reed in place. Nothing would cut whatever was put on during manufacture.
A good harp will push you up the curve quicker as air leaks, etc only slow your progress down. A HARPSMITH harp is easy to bend and play. Given the additional cost relative to the time saved I am a firm believer the player should always be the weak link in the chain. I love playing a harp but do not care to work on them more than necessary. In the long haul a good harp will cost less after factoring in the cost of an o k harp and then what a good one cost.
