What do you play on your Bb? Great key, but I only play Landslides with it!
I use it for “Swing Low Sweet Chariot” alongside my B harp. Terry McMillan does my favorite version. Terry was an amazing session musician who inspired me to pick up the harmonica. He mostly played country and gospel, but could do any genre of music. He’s mostly known for his work with Garth Brooks (both on stage and in the studio), most notably being "Ain’t Goin’ Down (til the Sun Comes Up), but Terry had such an impressive resumé as a musician that it’s so hard to keep track of the many bands and artists he played with.
Easy by Walter,
Mostly Blues and Jazz in F. Pretty much anything I would play harp on that’s in the key of F. It’s actually my favorite key harp because of it’s frequency range.
@Dk360 Work Song, baby!
Having aquired the original vinyl album back in 1960 (Cannonball Adderley, “Them Dirty Blues”) when I was in highschool, “Work Song” got played probably a thousand times) It was one of the first tunes I tried to learn on harmonica. When Butterfield did it in 1965, it gave me even more inspiration to play Blues harp. Butter didn’t play the melody quite the same as Nat and Cannonball, because the Major 7 of the I chord (or the Major 3rd of the V chord) couldn’t be readily played (5 overblow or 6 blow bend on a valved harp). at that location on the diatonic harp. Could be played on a Country tuned one though. At that time I just played it like Paul did. Now I play it with the correct note LOL.
Thanks for mentioning Work Song Luke, it brought back some great memories!!
When my wife gets this posture its usually something I did and should not have or vis versa. The guy in must have a twin brother as on U Tube I have seen a blondish hair guy that looks just like him.
