Hey guys just wanted to let you know that we’ve made an improvement to the Bend It Better tool
As you’ve heard me say before, the ultimate goal is to train your EARS, NOT your EYES.
It’s VERY helpful to. have that visual feedback at the beginning.
But ULTIMATELY you want to TRAIN YOUR EARS.
The best way to do that is to listen to a sound and try to match. When you come into tune with the reference tone there will be no “beating” (wavering pulses) and when you are slightly out of tune you will hear “beating.”
The problem was that the harmonica samples on the player had a hand tremolo that obfuscated the beating.
We’ve now got it updated with nice clean harmonica samples (no hand tremolo) so you can much more easily hear if your harmonica is in tune with the reference pitch.
(If you didn’t know play the reference note, just click the notes icon on the top left of the interface to choose the harmonica sample, and click and hold the note you want to hear.)
Also by user requests, we have extended the range all the way down to a Low D harmonica. That’s some serious weight lifting bending those low keys down!!!
Hi, I can no longer log into the “Bend it Better” tool. I can only see the same image as the one above. Is there anything I need to do to view and continue to use the “Bend it Better” tool?
Hi Dai, the Bend it Better works on safari on iPad and iPhone but for some reason not on MacBook Pro. It’s a strange one! I have just checked again this morning and everything is now working correctly. It looks as though the issue has been resolved.
Thanks for your patience guys. Yeah, I’m hearing back from everyone it seems like it’s all working well again. I appreciate the feedback. Have fun practicing!! Rock on!
Hey guys - just wanted to let you know, by popular request, we now have the Bend It Better tool going all the way down to Low C harmonica. Happy bending!
