I had a slump with single notes form a few days and noticed how critical it is to play the note very clean and no air leak or air going into a contagious hole. After more practice I got the single note issue cured as I was not placing the harp far enough back and dropping my jaw enough. When this was changed bending a note became much easier or better said possible. Cannot remember where i heard how critical hitting the note spot on is when bending but sure am glad I heard it during my slop period. if you are having issues with bending try playing one when you have a clean note playing.
