Bending Practice

For all those who are learning to bend or who want to learn to bend on the harp.

The following exercise is meant to help you to learn the to bend.

- = Draw not

+ = Blow note

/ = bent note

-2 -/3 +4

-2 -/3 -/4 +4

-2 -/3 +4 -/3 -2

To articulate this we are going to us the Kee Koo and the Tee Too method

so it goes like this:

Kee Koo Kee

Kee Koo Koo Kee

Kee Koo Kee Koo Kee

or

Tee Too Tee

Tee Too Too Tee

Tee Too Tee Too Tee

Try it and see how you get on

Here is Tomlin teaching you the riff with a few more riffs you can practice on and use the Bend It Better tool to help.

P.S. You can mix and match TEE TOO and KEE KOO they are not exclusive. Try doing Goo as well this might help you out.

One thing that really helps me and I consider essential to get a good bend is hit play the single note very clean. A off target notes is the start of a bad Bending effort I/M/O.
