Bluebird Studio Microphone

Hope everyone is doing good! I saw this on Facebook Marketplace. Anyone heard of these? Didn’t know if it may be worth the price or even work for a harp.
Any input appreciated.

The Blue microphones are condenser mics, which are best for recording for studio work, compared to dynamic mics which are more for live shows (but some use them for home recording and live streaming as well). I use a Blue Snowball microphone for both harmonica and voice recording and it does a very decent job.

Thanks for your input. I started researching and they’re actually all over the place. Really cool looking. I did see this specific mic needs a power source. I’m thinking it may be fun to own.
Thanks again!

If you’re planning on doing home recording, that mic is AWESOME! I used to own one. I own a lot of expensive mics, and gave away my Bluebird to a student who was getting into recording. She sounds great on everything. I miss her! Unbelievable value for $100. Rock on! :sunglasses:

Did your harmonica sound good through it? Clean or bluesy?

Oh yeah, sounds great on clean acoustic kind of playing! (But you can always make things dirty in post with distortion plugins! :metal:t3:)

Play as close as possible to it to benefit from the “proximity effect” which is low end boost from close mic-ing.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I may have to get it.
Keep on Harpin!
