Can a Bb harmonica be used instead of a C for the lessons?

Just wondering if a Bb harmonica can be used for the Blues riffs lessons to get a more bluesy feel? Instead of the C.

Absolutely, but you would then be playing in the key of F and therefore can not match the key of G that a C harp produces in cross harp (i.e. 2nd) position. But if that doesn’t bother you, then everything will still work – in fact, you can actually use a harp in ANY key. :backhand_index_pointing_left:

@yfd130 Yeah, you just don’t wanna use a Bb Harmonica to play along with somebody who’s playing a C harmonica or to play along with a jam track in the key of G..

Sure I have both and they get played more than any others.

it will sound off key with everything you play on the lessons but if you can deal with that, that’s fine. It would bug the hell out of me hearing two different sounds.
