ChatGPT as a personal harmonica teacher

Hello, everyone!

Has anyone here used ChatGPT (or a similar AI-based tool) to get personalized feedback on their harmonica playing technique? I ran a few tests—I uploaded a video of myself playing “When the Saints Go Marching In” on a C-tuned harmonica.

Next, I asked for feedback on what I was doing right and what I was doing wrong in terms of breathing and posture, and I asked for exercises and tips on how to improve and correct these areas. I uploaded another video showing the corrected elements and asked for another evaluation.

I did this quite a while ago, before I discovered this forum and the wonderful, helpful community here, because I was looking for any kind of feedback—that’s what’s mainly holding me back in the playing on harmonica.

But I don’t really trust that kind of feedback; I get the impression that it’s a bit “average” in its assessment. Besides, I have no experience in this area (playing the harmonica), so it’s hard for me to judge whether it advice and tips are accurate.

What do you think about all this?

Have you used ChatGPT this way, or is it better to skip this method of gathering feedback?

I’m really curious to hear about your experiences

That’s a no brainer, pardon the pun. ChatGPT is a money making entity. It’s going to be biased in it’s essence to get you to use it again, and again, and again. Eg. it’s designed to be an addiction. Humans don’t like the truth. Things like tinder all use similar if not more overt methods to make you keep coming back. Want the truth ask a human you trust. Also ChatGPT uses information to learn from, including original music, that is primarily gathered, without consent, to fill it’s processes.

Thank you for your feedback; I appreciate it. I also prefer getting feedback from real people :), and now I have a place for that right here on this forum

I use ChatGPT very rarely and in very specific contexts, mainly as a search engine or to outline concepts—for example, I recently calculated cumulative inflation in Poland over the last 10 years.

Yes, I know that collecting data from the web without users’ consent to train models is a major and serious problem, because then the internet traffic doesn’t return to the original websites where the data was collected. And most importantly, ChatGPT doesn’t pay a single penny for it!

Maybe a little off topic - but feel free to post a recording of yourself here to get feedback from real people.

Seriously - We don’t mind!:slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you for the invitation, but I don’t have internet access at home. To save money, I only use the public Wi-Fi at the local library.
