Hi folks, day 3 of actually practicing, I very much struggle with single notes (seen all the videos etc…) I get it right about 20%.
However that not what the post is about.
Is there a list or site with CHORD ONLY beginner riffs/licks so I can learn some rhythm and have some fun to give me a beak from doing single note drills?
Thanks
Squeak
Yes! Lukes beginner to boss course starts with chords. Very satisfying as you play recognisable riffs straight off. Well worth the investment. How did the lesson go?
Keep going - Single notes are a breeze when you get it!
I highly recommend you learn what notes are in each chord, and also the circle of fifths.
Take a chart of where the notes are on your harp, map out your arpeggios (notes in each chord), and go to town practicing!
The cool part about diatonic harmonica is 1st position blow notes repeat CEG over and over again for your 1 chord (at least on a C harp).
the lesson went well, 2ndone is tomorrow. Luke’s course is on the table, but for now I’m focussed on F2F instruction. I was just hoping for some chord tunes to play with whilst i practice single notes
Hello @Squeak
If you are looking for some fun chord riffs to learn check out @davidkachalon here on the forum. He has some great complementary lessons he posts right in the forum - his videos will get you started.
Hope that helps
