The great guitarist and partner of blues harp great Joe Filisco has passed away. He will be missed by all. Sympathies to Eric’s family and friends.

Sad news, I saw the announcement on Joe’s website. My condolences and best wishes got out to his family and friends.

Oh my goodness I just learned of this. What horrible shocking news to receive. I had the pleasure of interacting with Eric on several occasions at SPAH conventions, and via email and he was such an exuberant, humble, and kind man in addition to being a fantastic musician.
He told me that he and JP Allen were actually friends way back in the day and were kinda learning harmonica together. Eric was a good harmonica player in addition to being a great guitar player. He and Joe would sometimes do harmonica duets. I got to see them live a couple of times and it was life changing for me.
I am just reeling from this news. He was only 57 years old. Such a shocker, and another huge loss for us.
