Favorite harp and why

These two are my favorite right now: an Arkia Signature and a Seydel 1847 customized by Alexey Kormin from Estonia (found him on IG- seems like a popular customizer in Europe). Both play effortlessly and easy to bend. The Arkia is similar in dimensions to the Marine Band Deluxe (which I have) but the Arkia feels better in my hands and mouth.

@KeroroRinChou Hi! I know you love Golden Melody. Do you have a favorite key that you tend to pick up the most for its sound? Such as when you are practicing or playing at home?

Honestly, I have a few favorite Golden Melody keys. I mainly play live for only a few songs with my band, most of the songs being with an A harp. I really like the classic C harp, mainly because a lot of the songs I play for myself (a lot of the Terry McMillan stuff I enjoy listening to) is in G. I recently got an F Golden Melody back on Halloween and it sounds amazing.
Compared to most of the harps that I’ve tried, I love the mellow tone of the Golden Melody but it could sound very bluesy in the right hands. It also has an ergonomic design that feels comfortable to the lips and hands.

I’m excited that I’ll be getting a Golden Melody in A in the next couple weeks. Thank you for your thoughts.

My Rocker plays very well and al notes are played with less breath as the harp is louder than any others I have played. My Crossovers are great but a bit tougher on the lower lip. The reed plates and corners require some light smoothing. I have a different comb in the Rocker, which solves this problem. Either one is fine I/M/O.
