Fender Tonemaster amps

About 30 years ago I started playing Chicago-style harp through a Fender Deluxe Reverb reissue amp with the valves swapped out to cut down feedback, although for the last 15 years or so I’ve been playing mainly in semi-acoustic outfits straight into the PA or using a small Marble Champ-clone. However, I’ve recently joined an electric band with drums and I’m now playing through the Deluxe Reverb again (still sounds great) but as I’m now in my 70s I’m finding it a bit too heavy to schlep around. I’m wondering about swapping it for the Deluxe Reverb Tonemaster amp which is much lighter but although these seem to liked by guitarists I wonder if it is going to work with harp played through an Astaic JT-30. We don’t have any local shops where I could try it out. Any thoughts?

@GrahamH How many watts is your Deluxe?

I recently bought a used 60’s Kalamazoo Model 2 tube amp and had Greg Heumann clean it up and add a (post amp) line out. I think it’s only 5W, but it sounds AMAZING and the line out takes the distorted sound to the PA.

Worth considering. Super light. And sounds SUPER GOOD!!!

Thanks Luke - but I should have mentioned that I also play guitar through the Deluxe Reverb so I need an amp with several inputs and two separate channels - which both the original Deluxe Reverb and the Tonemaster have. Also I’m in the UK and I wouldn’t think a Kalamazoo would be available here.
