@Luke I’ve been to Oberlin many times and drove past the college. It’s a nice town. Despite that, I never took any courses at OC. Let me tell you how the harmonica changed my life.
At the time when I rediscovered my love for the harmonica back in 2018, my biological parents were going through a divorce and I was being bullied a lot in high school. I was in a very deep, depressed state that I felt like I wasn’t gonna get any better emotionally. I asked for a harmonica for Christmas that year because I thought it would be something I’d be dedicated to as a side project while I work on school. On Christmas Day, I got a harmonica gift set with a David Harp book. I tried getting into it, but the harp was so airy that I couldn’t make any music out of them. A few days later, I grabbed all my Christmas money and got myself a C Hohner Special 20 at a Guitar Center for around $51. The rest, as they say, was history.
