My Bb is the best playing harp I have. Just got lucky. I play it more than any other harp.

My two favourite keys are Bb and D. At the moment I’m concentrating on playing A and G to get better at three whole step bends on these.

Do not have a Bb but a friend has one. A good harp

I do as well but a good player suggested I go into the whole step i.e. -3/// and then ease out to to -3// and then -3/ It has helped me. Frankly i do not focus as much one the 3 step or second on -2 as I seldom see music that requires them. That being said I try to learn them as to be a complete player they must be learned. Right now I am focusing on moving quickly into a bend when the rhythm requires it i. e. -3// from a -2. This is the been a challenge for me right to do it consistently. I am getting passed the basic bending and into the parts that take years to master.
I find a clean, warm harp gapped correctly is much easier to play bends on than on a chili cool night.. For some reason harps do not seem to like cooler damp weather, at least mine.
A suggestion I got was playing the Batman theme song I had to learn. My friend said to get the -2 one and two step this riff helps. -2 -2 -2// -2// -2/ 2 /-2/ -2/ -2 -2. If you can hear the original song played when this show aired you will recognize the rhyme. I never watched this show but this exercise sure helped me. Hope this helps.
