Hi, I jammed with a band last night and apparently it was professionally videoed, and footage of it is going to be sent to me as soon as it’s edited. Now it’s not perfect, the band messed up the beginning of the song timing wise and the bassist was in the wrong key, ( oh the joys of jamming!) but I got them to turn it around and we carried on, feed back was an issue but that was sorted part way through, I’m hoping if it’s good enough, I can post it on here? Question is how do I do that. I don’t usually post my performances as they are usually caught on phones and they sound is pretty awful, but I’m hoping this pro shot stuff might be better. Anyway based on the performance a guitarist has finally expressed an interest in forming a band with me
Hi Andy @Andy2
You need to host the video somewhere (such as on YouTube or on your personal web site) and post a link to the video here. For YouTube you need to register a channel (it’s free) and the video that you upload does not need to be made “public”. You only need to copy the link to it and post that here. Without knowing the link, people cannot see the video (unless you tell YouTube to make it “public”, of course).

The Video, wasn’t great, So I may post some of my stuff via Dropbox if I can work out how to do it. I’ve got a pretty good train going. And I’ve taught myself some great Sonny Boy Williamson II tricks. I’ve also got some Butterfield stuff I want to run by people, again I have to do this when the Wife is busy doing something and there’s no Neighbors in.
Why when I do as @slim suggests, does the youtube link show up but not the actual video. clicking the link does take you to the youtube video however.
Where did you post it @RussSkyman?
@Luke I made the mistake of pasting the link where the reply window said to paste links. I’ve since discovered it only works when pasting the youtube link in the body of the message. no worries.
