Leaving the site

You cant read Andys post because it was removed. Andys post was aggressive rude and totally offensive. His post that started this and other posts previously of Andys have been removed so you have not tracked down the post that was the problem.
Andy says he left the forum because his post was removed but he then created this thread to continue on with it.
I think in the best course of action would be to remove this thread Andy created, move on in the spirit of just helping each other to learn and enjoy harmonica.
To all in this thread I ask you to stop posting. You can’t see Andys offensive post now so you really can’t comment.

I meant the thread in which the deleted post was contained. But I take your point and won’t comment further. And I’ve deleted my comment.

Being an American I do not like censorship but it is pointed out its for harp chat only. Given what the U.S. has been through no political post are a breath of fresh air. I have had one deleted that hid not relate to the harp but there was no back and forth B S. I played chess and got a lifetime dose of posts that the writer’s objective was to try to convince others they knew all about chess and were future grand masters. If they spent more time practicing and less time generating the B S they could have been decent players. I do not waist time with these people as a second wasted can never be bought back with all the money there is to be had.

Well guys it’s goodbye from me, after this post I’ll shut all contact with the site so there’s no point in leaving a reply for me. As posted earlier the studio where I did pro-bono session work has been sold and I really don’t want to continue with a new group of people. The final nail in the coffin was getting a post deleted for using a well known Afrikaans colloquial expression to a South African member, an expression I’ve heard used many times by Judges, meaning calm down. Judges can say it in open court but it’s unacceptable here! As a mainly defense lawyer I was disgusted by the original post that attached Andy2 but it was not removed, that would in my not in the least humble opinion have been the proper course. It was my retort to the attacker’s post that was deleted. But it’s not my site so it’s not my standards but I don’t have to remain. Best of luck with your chromatic journeys but from now on I won’t be part of them. In all probability from now on my chromatics will rest at the back of my socks draw. Buy all and thanks for your company. Jay1

Hey @Jay1 the reason I deleted your post was the same reason I deleted @Andy2’s. A user flagged it, and so I reviewed it and determined that it contained language that’s inconsistent with the tone of this forum. Andy’s post had vulgarity, and, although you felt yours to be an innocuous colloquialism, since a user found it to be off-color, and perhaps sexist, and it didn’t contain any content about the harmonica, so I didn’t think it was a big deal to delete it.

There are all kinds of people with different sensibilities here, including minors, and I just want to keep the tone of the forum positive and informative. I have only deleted a handful of posts over the last 6 years. I don’t catch everything, so if there’s something you think is inappropriate, please flag it and I’ll be happy to take a look and review it!
