I’ve been lurking in the background enjoying your conversations. Whereabouts in the UK are you?
I really just wanted to ask if you are doing Luke’s Beginner to Boss course as he includes a lesson on Love Me Do and I think you mentioned its a song you are working on .
No, my dad came from Latvia and although he spoke Latvian, Russian, German and English, German remained his favourite tongue and it was what I heard a lot of growing up.
I’m far away from all the big cities in the northern Lake district … yes I am looking at Luke’s Beginner to Boss … not mastered the riff as yet but still trying. Need to get my flow better and this site is giving me lots of tips … practice will make perfect … won’t it??
Hi Ingrid welcome to the forum ! I am also new to this cool instrument and forum . The people are so informative and talented and kind . Great luck on your journey !
Well, my younger years was a succession of following orders go here go there etc. so I’m more inclined to not do what anyone tells me to do anymore.
My wife and I could be termed as people who live an alternate life style, I suppose. Our belief systems are geared around nature and the planet and universe. We truly believe we were meant to be together. She’s a white witch with extraordinary insight and gifts. I am a studier of Asatru which is a heathen belief system I also have certain gifts that I recently discovered. People think we are loonies or weird because of how we dress ( Leather jackets, boots etc) our home is very much a normal looking 60’s built masonette from the outside but inside it’s decorated very gothic there are guitars here and there. I have a lock up for my full collection. But we are not people who fit in with the norm ( especially when that seems to be idiots wearing baseball caps and designer clothes and women with fish lips and plastic everything) our friends are the same. I’m lucky I’m retired early and have the money for us both to do what we like.
Thank Luke (wish I could play like you) - I’m still trying to make any tune I try to play as smooth as your playing … but failing! I am off to the land of Hohner Harmonicas soon for a few weeks so I will be practising! Watch this space for an update!
