Hi Luke! In Long Training Running (Doobie Brothers), Tom Johnston has an impressive solo. (This video of it starts at 1:30: https://youtu.be/m4tJSn0QtME?si=eJayMoiqSc2_Gnub&t=90. You also can find the isolated harmonica solo by clicking on ‘harmonica’ here: JamKazam) At around 1:34 or 1:35, he does a familiar sort of transition in which he lowers the pitch a couple notes. It’s very fast, and I can’t figure out exactly how he does it. It seems like he has an 11th blow/draw hole I don’t! Can you explain how to recreate this transition, or whatever you call it? Which holes to blow/draw on? Thank you very much!

@scobara welcome to the forum! No high blows on this solo! Lots of -4’ -4 -4 repeated around 1:34. That’s a good lick to practice!!
See how you’re doing with it here: Bend It Better™ – The Tool That Helps You Bend Harmonica in Tune!
Hope that helps. Rock on! ![]()
