Saw your Orange Blossom Special on U Tube post. I am trying to learn this one. Do you learn the cords first and then the single note section? If not what do you recommend to a newer player. In other words how should I tackle this one. I listen to it often as I like the tune.

@scott4 ,

Charlie McCoy, Buddy Green, or Johnny Cash? It makes a difference.

I would learn the single note portion first. They gave me the biggest challenge as all of the lines are very fast. many of the lines repeat but if you listen to Charlie McCoy, who mentored Buddy Greene early on you can see how important clean single notes are. He is the best. On U Tube you can listen, which is essential, and follow the notes. The first portion is fast but not as tough to learn as the middle portion. The chords are not as tough. Just only my opinion. I started with the first line of the single notes and played it until it as in memory. Johnny Cash sings more of it but C M and B G are the best. They play the entire song correctly.
