Do you mean the Fly 3 model? They’ve a very good reputation.

110 euro for a bulletini shape Livio Black Bullit perhaps?

Fly3 is excellent for what it is for its cost. I have an ID Core, it’s so light I can pick it up with my little finger but I have more amps than the National Grid, some going back 30+ years, I’m afraid I’m a bit of a hoarder Jay1

Cool, let me know how you get on with it

Will do. Thanks

@davemacinnh That Harley Benton Tube 5 that @piglet posted looks pretty sweet!! I personally love the Jason Ricci signature mic from Lone Wolf. I just love the ergonomics and the intuitive position of the volume knob which you roll forward to get louder or backward to get quieter.

The bullet mics make my hands tired over time. I noticed Ross Garren uses it too (and of course Jason Ricci does🤣)

I think the Harley Benton amp is sold as monoprice in the US, but I’m sure I heard that Thomann (German company, who have harley benton as their house brand) have sorted out US distribution now.
Valve amps are great. And 5w of valve will get loud.

Hey @Luke ! I ended up going up to the local record shop, I am friendly with the owner who has played in the Michael Vincent Band for the past 17 years and he hooked me up with this little Peavy KB1 which he said will work great. I ended up ordering a Silverfish Silver Bullet Dynamic which controlled with a switch has a dirty and clean sound. I do like that Jason Ricci mic though… We shall see how I do with the other one.

I’m planning to use an Amp modelling pedal straight into a PA less heavy lifting lest time messing about no heavy amp to lift.

What pedal are you going to use?

Still looking at this, I’m hoping to try a few, but I doubt very much I’ll be using the Lone Wolf pedals as they are too expensive I’ve got a modeller ( Somewhere) I’m going to try that out at my friend’s recording studio I’ll let you know how it goes

Got my silverfish Mic today. Even though I have no idea what I am doing, I like it!

They, are cool, and they have a great sound. I plug mine into my wife’s late Dad’s practice amp it’s only a small but I get a great sound. Only problem is that it has no reverb. I use guitar transmitter and receivers going cable free it’s easier to balance the sound. I’m hoping to get to the Studio and put it through its paces along with a couple of other mics I have.

Definitely cool looking! :sunglasses:

That’s sounds a good bargain. I was trying to find more info on them this morning but, he uses Facebook, I don’t do Facebook. Pity!

Found another option that could be used with a modelling peddle

It’s clean mic designed for Harmonica XLR fitting but comes with a transformer and it’s cheap. scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the videos and lsten to what it sounds like.

Big bad Boris puttin the mic throuh it’s paces.

From the picture it looks a larer diameter then the Hohner HB52 or the Bulletini.

I made my first mic and it sounds great, just as good as my Green Bullet! I got the instructions from instructables.com it’s really easy. There’s a parts list there for you. Maybe cost you about 30 or 40 bucks. She is a lil ghetto fabulous but it works and I made it! I saved my money for my amplifier. I bought an orange crush 20rt. It’s a solid state that imitates a lot ofld British tube amp with a few pedals from Lone wolf and Harp Rod.
