Mike Fugazzi is an incredibly sweet guy and definitely knows the instrument in and out, especially when it comes to rock harmonica. He gets a lot of unnecessary hate from the trad blues harp crowd because he definitely doesn’t sound like a carbon copy of Little Walter (in fact, his biggest influence is John Popper) and also appreciates well-played harmonica music outside of Chicago blues. I did get to talk with Mike a few times in the past and he’s genuinely a really cool guy with a passion for all things harmonica.

I met him last month at a show close to me. He is amazing! Talented yet humble! He stopped his show to answer a student’s call who was in a domestic crisis! We should all aspire to be like Mike!
