Moriarty

Hi, I’ve been doing the course for a few months now and have nearly finished the single notes module.
I have learned to play “Jimmy” by Moriarty, and want to learn “Chocolate Jesus”
My question is should I purchase a d flat harmonica (I currently have a C and a G) for “chocolate Jesus”? It seems to be an uncommon key and I’m wondering if it’s worth it. Does anyone know if the original key of “Jimmy” was d flat also?
Any other tunes in d flat if I purchase?
TIA

Hi
Actually it would be called a C# harmonica. Not Dflat.
If I look up the song info it says it’s in the key Bb bflat minor?
What key is it in?

I’ll attach screenshots of what I’ve found.
Chocolate Jesus tabs are for the Tom Waits version. I can’t find anything for Moriarty’s cover of it.

Ok. The c# harmonica might sit in your draw a lot but it depends what you play. The notes above say his video shows the song to learn on a C harmonica. If you really want to play along to Moriarty version the only way is try good key finder app or something with a good ear will be able to tell you. I have almost every key of harmonica and just try out what fits best when I learn a song.
