New Lee Oskar Major Diatonic harmonica in the key of G

Morning,

My new harp arrived yesterday  a Lee Oskar Major Diatonic in G, played it a little last night. I really like the deep sound of it :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Now at looking for lessons and songs in G, any tips?

Ciao

Stefano

G was the first key I played on harmonica so I have a soft spot for it.

Thanks Dai, yes I’m learning to bend

I like the key of G for many tunes. I like the lower tone, sounds good on many songs not originally in that key. Give some of your favorite songs in C a test in G. You may find something that appeals to your ear. Have fun. Enjoy.

Luke shows how to play this melody and riff. You need a G to play it all

This Jon Gindick lesson is good too:

Ain’t No Sunshine or Moon River. I have a L O in G but its too big for me. I will say it is very easy to play any single note but mine has note seen sunlight for a while. Don’t know when you are on your harp venture but developing rhyme is a must as a clean single notes. Right now I am focusing on play a note as rich as I can and as always, single notes and getting the rhyme right for any tune takes some time no matter wow simple the tune.

I feel the tougher songs can be learned and treat them as several simple tunes strung together, I learn them in parts and there is always some lines that take forever to penetrate my head. I polish my wife’s ring on it what the diamond gets a scratch. Good news is hard headed people never quit, only think about it when my play sucks for a few days and then it suddenly returns.

Glad you liked it.
