I have just received a new Lee Oskar Major Diatonic in C. The bottom cover plate ends seem to be quite sharp. Is this normal?
Thanks
Brian

Well, it doesn’t sound normal to me. I have a lot of LOs and none have the sharpness you describe, though I haven’t bought a new one lately. The end of the plate should be somewhat recessed in the comb – if it’s sticking above the comb it’s not seated correctly.
I agree with trapper.
@meddyliol - The ends of the cover plates should be coutnersunk within the comb?
Hi everyone,
I have just bought a Lee Oskar major diatonic in C, my new harp is unusable too.
The folded curved joints, by the 1 & 10 holes, are sharp enough to cut flesh (photos attached).
I may be able to file/sand the edge to make it playable, we will see.
The sound is nice and resonates much better than my Suzuki Promaster but my Promaster feels lush in my gob.
Strange. Definitely contact Lee Oskar. I’m quite sure they’ll make it right for you!
