Plating material on Hohner chromatic slides

I am trying to find out what the plating material is or was on my old Hohner 48 and 64 Chromatic harps. Much of the plating has worn off.

I don’t know. I know Hohner sells new cover plates though if that is the problem?

Hi, it is probably made from German Silver which is Argentan a copper- nickel alloy. Assuming the Harps are older models.
