Possible Hohner Special 20 fake or a used one? (bought SP20, but it was in a Marine band case)

Hello, everyone!

I’ve just bought a brand new Hohner Special 20 at my local musical instruments store.

The box looked new and was sealed on two sides, just like in unboxing videos on YouTube. When I opened it, I saw a Marine Band case, but inside was a Special 20. The harmonica looks new, there are no fingerprints or scratches on its body. I also noticed that on the back of the paper with the code there is a picture of Golden Melody (idk if its normal, because nobody shows this paper on YouTube).

I called the store, where they told me that the Hohner factory allegedly made a batch where the cases were mixed up.

Has anyone encountered such a situation? Could the harmonica be a fake or cleaned and repackaged one?

The easiest way to check would be to buy more harmonicas and compare

Does it play OK, I have seen fake Hohner SP20’S they’ve actually got or did have them on Amazon (UK) for a bit, I’m sure Hohner would’ve had something to say about infringement. They were being sold at a fraction of the cost. That was the first thing made me suspicious.
