Pucker and tongue blocking practice

My goal is to be able to use both the pucker and tongue blocking embouchure equally well. So what I’ve been doing is when playing a song or a lick using one technique I immediately play the same piece using the other. Is this a good way to practice or am I just confusing myself? I’m having mixed results so far.
Sorry @Luke, I meant lip blocking instead of pucker.

I’m doing the same. I learned tongue blocking first but, then I couldn’t bend. So I started back at the beginning to learn lip blocking. Now I’m “bilingual”.

That sounds like a great idea. I’m primarily a lip purser and sometimes I interchange licks with tongue blocking. I don’t tongue block as often because I play country music and the only sense of tongue blocking in those songs are octaves.
