Recent Gig

The band I’m in just had a big Gig at the Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood California. It was very exciting and as far as I can’t tell I nailed my parts LOL. A friend of our band paid for it to be video taped so we will see how that turns out.

I will try to post it when the video is done being edited. But I don’t have very good track record with posting pictures so we will see. I might have to share the link when the video comes out.

I’ve tried, but I’m not keen on uploading anything to YouTube or Social media I don’t have Facebook or anything like that. My wife was stalked for 2 years ( before she met me) by some head case. So we keep our online profile as low and as simple as possible She has PTSD because of it, and it happened again just after I started seeing her but I put paid to him by scaring the crap out of him. We tend to be very careful about what we put out there

So it sounds like we are never going to hear any recordings of your harp skills. I must admit that reading so much about them is little consolation …

Actually, I’ve just had a thought, I am going to be starring in a movie on Netflix should be next year all being well. I am also involved in doing some of the soundtrack including playing Harmonica, Guitar and slide guitar. I’m not entirely sure what the final title of the movie will be but currently the working title is War pigs, Black Sabbath have let us use their track of the same name for the beginning and the opening of the movie. I know that Tim Burtons main director of Photography is signed up so far and I have act 1 and 2 of the Script act three is still being worked on. No big names attached as it is very much a B movie, in the Horror/weird war genre. I play a veteran who is pitted against a monster he encountered in WW2. I was thrilled to be offered the lead as initially I went to the interview thinking I was going to fetch coffee and sandwiches ( I’m a huge movie buff and wanted to see how a movie was made, I was talking to the director and he wanted me to take the lead!) When I got home and told my wife her jaw fell open. I’m still in the disbelief phase myself. So essentially you will have a chance to hear and see me play ( the director is also interested in getting my friends blues band to do a scene live in a pub) I will also be on the soundtrack for which I’ve written a song and play all the instruments. The main reason I got the part was because I’m a veteran, I’m a musician, I have several black belts in Martial arts, and my Black country accent, I do believe subtitles will be provided for American audiences due to them not understanding some British accents.

Yes mate, I will keep you updated. I’m told there’s also a sequel in the planning ---- I won’t hold my breath for that we haven’t made the first one yet, but those who do all the planning etc seem very optimistic.

Sounds great
