Review for Heumann Element

Greg Heumann of Blows Me Away Productions recently installed his specialty designed element in a wonderful wooden mic he made for me about 5 years ago. It replaced a '53 Black CR element. After reading some great reviews I had to give it a go. Plugged it into my 59 Bassman and let it rip and wow! ! This thing not only packs a wallop but has extraordinary mid-range and bass tone. Get one of Greg’s volume control units, turn up the amp volume and you’re running on Nitro! If you are interested in playing amplified harp Greg’s products are top of the range!!

Hello Luke ,

Thanks for. welcoming me to this forum .I have been playing and investigating this mysterious and incredibly complex band instrument for fifty years. To this day,l realize that one must always challenge themselves in order to improve. Because amplification is my driving passion especially playing out .it becomes more and more important to have as much control over your equipment as possible. When I first started playing, a lot of information was shrouded in secrecy but now that things have moved forward , I believe people have become more forthcoming with information. It’s a funny thing , in a way , because in the end , we are only as good as our chops .

Well said @BrettStuartWilson. Well said!! At SPAH I saw different people play through the same mic/amp combo and sound COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!!!

Tone is in the mouth of the beholder.

I own a Bulletini VC (I was gifted mine) and I don’t know if it’s the new or old version of the element. Even though it plays in lower volumes and with pedals just fine, it also tends to squeal if I crank up any amp. The amp I own is a Fender Champion 20, but I also tried the Fender Princeton 65 DSP. I feel limited since I can’t play loudly like everybody else.
