Wow. Crazy times. We are expecting to be hit by a cyclone tomorrow. Unusual but not unheard of this far south.
We had the flood of a lifetime time on 7/4 and I would imagine you saw it on the news. It was unbelievable. Many wife and I went to Normandy shortly thereafter and everyone in even the small towns ask me about it when I told them I live, right in the middle of it but on high ground. Glad your loss was trees. Our loss was much more and 136 of them cannot be regrown. The only thing I can say good about such a devastating situation it does bring out the best in people. They were in Texas for all over the country and were here just to help. Coming here in July and sleeping on a cot is something only special people do. Volunteers would accept a thank you but refused anything else.
