Does anyone hear use a sound gate pedal to prevent feed back if so would love some recommendations

I’m going to be using a Silverfish mic Intend to try it straight through the amp, it has a dirty setting so I might go through the PA, it’s a new mic not had Chance to try it yet

The problem with Gating effects in general is setting the threshold to where there effective without destroying your ability to play really quietly.
A better solution is to figure out out other ways to avoid feedback.

Thanks Luke Yes I’m coming to that conclusion, I’ve figured out that for certain songs on my Silverfish mic I’ve got a dirty and a clean button, so all I need to do is find the max volume for the Dirty sound press the button and the clean takes care of itself. I do however need an ammo clip to hold the Silverfish bullet on the stand. So I’ve got to shop around for a clip with the correct dimensions. I may even go back to Silverfish and see if they can recommend one for me. Now I’ve found the instruction manual for my amp on line this has made finding the settings and even using the effects so much easier. Thanks
