Suzuki HMH-100 Harmonica Condenser Microphone

Anyone ever played through one of these?

I may have but it was a very long time ago. So I can’t really say what it was like

I’ve been playing with a Hohner Hoodoo Hand wireless mic for about 13 years now and have enjoyed using it. It uses 2 AA batteries in the transmitter and has a two finger ring that keeps the mic right where you want it but is small enough to not feel like you’re holding a baseball. I play weekly at church and do some gigs with my son’s when I can at various venues. I am presently looking for other wireless ring options but only to check on new tech. I will be looking at this Suzuki on you refer to. BTW, I have 2 Suzuki harps that might just be my favorites but I also play Hohner Special 20 and Lee Oscar. I use a modified Hohner hard case that will hold my 15 harps and the transmitter and mic.

Welcome to the forum @Bigtwin! Oh wow! I’d never even heard of Hohner Hoodoo Hand wireless mic! Found this vid:

I don’t think there are any other ring mics as sleek as this. As far as the wireless component, there’s tons of wireless units you can use with a regular mic, but never seen an actual mic as streamline as this. Weird that I’ve never heard anything about this before.

As for the Suzuki HMH-100, I’d never heard of it before either. Not wireless, but that’s easy to address. Certainly a lot cheaper than my Beyerdynamic m160 (which I LOVE and use held against the harmonica for any clean recording that doesn’t require the use of hand wah.) Here’s Flip Jers talking about the Suzuki.

Sounds beautiful! When I play at church, I just use my vocal mic (I wireless Sure SM-58.)
