Iām subscribed to his YouTube too he has some great easy to follow lessons on there but thereās about ten? Weeks of chromatic lessons itās pretty good. Iāve learned quite quickly. Tip watch the video through a few times get the riffs in you head note where his mistakes are and then just donāt make them. He usually uses an expletive to indicate the mistake so you canāt miss em Iām up to lesson six and Iāve found backing tracks in the key he suggests and also a key for my A chromatic and since my cold has gone Iāve been practicing I still a bit short of breath though
Unfortunately Iām locked out, all my computer and 'phone equipment belongs to chambers and have a number of restrictions built in, so unless I fork out for a personal computer the YouTube link is unavailable to me. Jay1
Maybe I am out of the loop, but what is Chambers?
Sorry thatās my fault Chambers is a UK term for an office from where lawyers work. I suppose we all get used to using certain terms, people not familiar with harmonicas or music could be confused with terms like harp. Youāre not out of the loop, I just used a term from the wrong loop Jay1
Thank you @Andy2
Here a link to the guyās channel too.
Thanks! Learn something new every day!
Thanks for that I couldnāt figure out how to put a link into the comments
Itās a thing that I think the designer of the forum software (Discourse?) maybe thought would be āintuitiveā?
If you use the āHyperlinkā button in the editor tool bar to insert a link, what you get is a clickable link, like there was in your post.
If you simply paste the link into your message text, the forum software takes a look at it & if it recognises the style & location of the link it does some āsoftware magicā and āembedsā content into your message. The software doesnāt understand everything, but it can usually do a good job with well known sites such as youtube.
If itās going to work, youāll see the effect within seconds in the preview panel.
Itās great, but especially for those of us who have been using computers for a long time itās not the first thing weād think of doing because for many years it would have been pointless.
Strange things computers, at timesā¦ LOL!
I hope that makes sense & helps.
You may as well be Speaking Chinese!!! Iām terrible at technology I use my phone, which is even worse, I have a very basic knowledge of computers I have no knowledge at all about phones. And Iām going to have to get a new phone Iām dreading it, all the redownloading apps remembering passwords for an autistic person who does write these things down ( then forgets where he puts them) itās an absolute nightmare. My wife wants me to get an iPhone not bloody likely! I want something simple and basic.
Iād hate trying to use Forums on a phone (BTW the only reason I carry a phone when Iām out is so I can be contacted by a small number of people who need to do so. Itās only recently my mobile has even been turned on when Iām at home, and itās as basic as I can get away with!
Iāve worked with computers for over 40 years, mainly as a software developer, but that doesnāt means I necessarily like them or all that they do, Nowdays there is so much you could try to know about them that I stick to a āneed to knowā basis.
When Iām not at work I try to minimise their use - but a browser for keeping track of forums is one of the things I allow.
Yeah I used to use mine just to make and receive calls every one thought I was strange
