Using a Metronome

USE A METRONOME

This reminds me of a video a few years back called:

USE SUNSCREEN

Everybody knows we should, few of us do.

After using a metronome now for about a week, I am amazed at what I’ve been missing all this time. What I previously felt was restraining me, all of a sudden as me tapping my feet and swaying as if I’m playing a song just going up and down scales.

I typically practice by playing my Few Basic Songs for scales, but I’ve rarely gotten past the C major scale and into the Blues scale, much less the songs, but I’m finally starting to feel a beat. I just watched a video I made a few months ago and realize just how bad timing was at the time. I did know if I was coming or going, much less at what speed, I posted the video here:

I only wish I would have started using the metronome when I very first started… LIKE @Luke suggests

It’s taken me back to basic scales, but I’m digging it!!!

We may do many things to get better at playing the harp, but one thing is for sure:

USE A METRONOME :sunglasses:

What’s your experience been with a Metronome?
