Wayfaring stranger lick at 50 second mark

Hey y’all! I’m still ear training! I’m learning this tune on a c harp second position. He does a really cool lick at about the 50-53 second mark. I think he’s bending up to /4 draw, back to /-4 bent, +4, -4, /-4 bent, / -3, -2. Can someone see what they hear and let me know! I’d like to nail this lick down :slightly_smiling_face:https://youtu.be/nKO_AkLS5QQ?si=taM6DIp6Tsse1mWF

Unfortunately I’m not good with Tab, but from what I’m playing by ear your not far off, I’ve listened to it once and copied most of the Licks though not really my style, but if I’m correct in my reading your tab it’s very possible that your right

Hey Andy! Thanks for replying man! I’m a perfectionist when I work on a tune and sometimes I just need some validation on what I’m playing! I appreciate your input! Feel free to post what you hear my friend!

I used to play wayfaring stranger on Banjo, and Dulcimer. Next to blues I love bluegrass so I’m very familiar with it.

Awesome man!! I play banjo and fiddle. I just recently began playing my banjo again! Actually never learned wayfaring stranger despite my love for bluegrass music!

I’ve put most my other instruments on back burner, while concentrating on harp again. I just started back today after a cold. I can play lots of instruments harp is definitely my favorite because it was the first I got really good at

@Madmartigan26 great lick, and the challenge here is really keeping the -3’ ONLY in that half-step bent position, and not allowing it to come up to a -3 released. The lick is:
-4’ -4 -4’ -3’ 4
-4’ -4 -3’ -2

Hope that helps! Thank you for the specific part timecode. Rock on! :sunglasses:
