What do you use is the question . Tool kits are pricey and that’s a fact . I’ve been looking to upgrade my tools a bit and was wondering what some of you use . I’ve even see a guy on You Tube use a safety pin and that the most inexpensive … lol . So what’s your favorite tool kit and what’s out there folks ?
How far are you going to go. Are you looking for a basic kit just to gap reeds or something more comprehensive. I use this to gap my reeds works well.
Good morning Dai . I guess I’m looking to clean , gap , and possibly tune . I’ve seen that “ tube “ set of tools by bomb and his videos are great too . I’m also looking at the Easttop Tool Set . Oh , and for tuning the BOSS TU-30 looks great too
I have this tool mostly good but the file is crap, a bit like a giant nail file. Most of the tools on it are good not used it much not needed to just done gapping with the Da Bomb easy gap tool.
Thanks Dai , I was actually thinking of that one also as I like the way you can unscrew them off the handle if need be .
@thunder58 I bought Andrew Zajac’s tool kit. You can find it at Rockin Ron’s.
I use it to tune and replace reeds on the harps I am restoring for sale. It is a great kit.
Thanks LoneStar .
FYI - I just emailed Rockin’ Ron 2 days ago . He’s no longer an Easttop dealer . Wonder what happened ??
I don’t know. I am currently in negotiations with them to start selling their harps. Once I get my site up and running.
What’s the name / will be the name of your site ? I always like to support a fellow harp player
Still deciding on that. Most likely it will be Lone Star Harmonicas, still in final decision making.
Wishing you the best of luck and success . Please , keep us all posted
